Peppermint Magazine x Vanessa Hansen x Spoonflower Collaboration features stripes by House of Springer

Looking for a cute summer sewing project to update your wardrobe? Well, you’re in luck! The fabulous Australian Peppermint Magazine just released a free sewing pattern for the Peppermint Albion Blouse made in collaboration with the talented Sweden-based patternmaker Vanessa Hansen and sewing partner Spoonflower.

To top off the delight, they used Candy Stripe fabric in beige and off-white from House of Springer to create this refined take on the comfortable classic. Swoon!

The Albion blouse is a romantic wrap top with classy button loop closures and a distinguished double-darted bodice. Sporting some stunning statement cuffs and puff sleeves that come in short or long variations it’s the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe.

To download the free pattern simply head over to Peppermint magazine. They only ask for your e-mail address in return, which I think is more than fair given how much work and love Vanessa and the Peppermint Team has poured into this beauty.

You’ll find the free sewing pattern and instructions here.

Candy striped fabric for your sewing project

I may be biased here but I think the beige and off-white Candy Stripes are perfectly matched with the Albion blouse. They add just the right amount of interest and elegance and never go out of style. A timeless fabric for a classic blouse.

If you love the stripes too, you can find them in a selection of colours in my Candy Stripe Collection on Spoonflower. They are available on numerous types of fabric and come in two scale options for each colour – small and medium. The fabric featured on the blouse worn by the model is beige and off-white in medium scale.

Happy summer sewing, I can’t wait to see what you create!
